My husband, mother in law and our two young children stayed here for three nights this past week. We had a wonderful time. I was somewhat nervous bringing my young children here after reading some of the reviews but I understand people typically don't go out of their way to post positive reviews (as they often do if they have negative ones) so this is really the main reason for sharing my positive review. We stayed right on a main road close to the entrance. Didn't see the excessive partying and drinking like others before have stated. It wasn't overly loud...it's a good place to experience camping. We loved exploring the whole campground on the golf carts. My children especially loved that. There were several playground areas...some cleaner and in better condition than others. It's what you would expect from a campground. The bathroom/shower facilities were clean and well stocked. There were a ton of activities for all ages to do. The pool was nice but at times overcrowded but it's a huge campground and one pool so that was really our only complaint. There are no other bodies of water to swim in or cool off in so just having one pool for the huge campground isn't ideal. Overall the place was clean. We even had a camper mishap when we first arrived and we had a few people just walk up and help. We didn't run into a single mean person, or anyone not treating us with respect. People were very very friendly, even the regulars/season holders. So bottom line.... Great place to go with a family....or with friends.
and tricker or treat..They enjoyed every minute of it..Also to Brien and Dianne for making us laugh it felt like we have been there for so long..and can't forget JODY!..That split was amazing..lmao..There was drinking and bands and dj..But there was stuff for everyone!!..Not board once! The kids had so much fun fishing and boating..We definitely will be back!!..The haunted get ride for the kids..It was great..Thanks to the owner
Awesome place to stay. They'll even put you back in the woods if you want to be party. Very close to Poags Hole motorcycle hillclimb.
Wonderful place to camp either with your family or on your own. Absolutely recommend checking it out
Would not recommend to anyone anymore! We've been coming here for the past three years because we enjoy the wooded tent campsites... But I don't think we will be back. Year after year, we are greeted with very unfriendly staff and unfriendly, rude, regulars. Also, this past weekend, my boyfriend and I decided to take a late night walk, as we were bored and couldn't sleep... On our journey we were greeted by the apparent "camp want-to-be police" who told us it's against the rules to walk around late at night(which is not stated anywhere officially) ... We are clearly not young teenagers, and grown adults, and they were telling us to turn back and go back to where we came from. I thought this was absolutely ridiculous, considering that we've paid money to be there and should be able to take a walk without being hounded for it, as if we're going something illegal... They were very rude about it, not letting us talk, and just kept telling us to go back to our campsite. We asked if we could just walk to our friends campsite close by, and they also told us that it was against the rules, even if we're not disturbing anyone. Relentlessly, we did go back to our site, and we felt our night was completely ruined. They must have a larger problem, if they don't want people walking at night...maybe theft or drugs or fights or something is the only thing I can think of. So with that being said, I would not recommend this place to anyone anymore and we will not be back. We're sorry that we chose to go there this past weekend and wish we had picked somewhere new. It was not enjoyable, as we weren't even "allowed" to walk to our friends campsite late at night. Rediculous!
RANDY!..You all were wonderful!!
I must say!..Not what we expected!..We had 13 people all together camping!..our camp site was perfect right by the paddle board horse shoes pool rec hall bathrooms..The kids met so many people. The owner and staff were great fun people!..Once they saw us smile and wave..It was like family, regulars gave us tours of the camp ground on their carts!..I would personally like to thank BABS and DEE,.For picking our kids up to go around,
